Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho has ruled out any possibility of leaving Frank Lampard’s men for Arsenal.
Jorginho said that discussions took place over a potential transfer to Arsenal during the summer transfer window but insisted his intention was always to remain at Stamford Bridge.
The Italian international stated this ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Manchester United on Saturday.
The 28-year-old was on Arsenal’s list of targets in the summer as the Gunners manager, Mikel Arteta wanted to strengthen his midfield options.
But Arsenal ended up signing Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid in a £45 million deal, while Jorginho stayed at Chelsea.
Asked about the transfer link with Arsenal, Jorginho told ESPN Brazil: “I believe that every player is open to negotiations.
“So I believe there was something they talked about. And in the end, it was decided that I remain here.
“Now my head is here, and we are going to do a great job with Chelsea, which I always wanted to do.”
